School and public libraries provide service to the same students, share similar program goals, and often have overlapping resources.
Collaboration between the public library and the school library is an effective means for bettering programs and can often result in improved access for students and increased awareness of the range of resources and services available.
This session will provide concrete examples from a successful public/school library collaboration including communication tools, strategies for dealing with partnership roadblocks, joint programming, and learning how to thrive together.
