Suppose your library has a position posted for a branch manager. You take a look at that position and think, “I want to do that job.” Maybe the job is a circulation supervisor, technical services supervisor or collection development manager. One of the best things about being in the library profession is the opportunity to advance into leadership roles and to influence how things get done. Are you ready to take the next step and help a library to thrive?
This session will provide a practical view on how you can build your skills to be ready when the right opportunity opens. Hear from a panel comprising seasoned and mid-level managers as well as those just starting out. At the end of this session you will be have the tools to put a plan in place now for where you want to be in the future.
