The Edge Initiative just wrapped up its first year in Oregon and the results are in! Oregon libraries have been busy this past year forging strong partnerships with schools and other community organizations and expanding technology services to benefit the entire community. For the Baker County Library District (BCLD), one of the strongest outcomes from using Edge was establishing partnerships with their local high school, middle school, and a technical institute. The partnership with the high school and technical institute resulted in a program for lending tablets and iPads to students both within and outside of the classroom and the creation of a makerspace in the library.

Come hear more about how Oregon libraries used Edge for greater outreach and collaboration with community partners engaged in education, workforce development, health and wellness, and eGovernment or legal purposes. This session will include the steps the libraries took to establish the partnerships and the outcomes achieved through these collaborations so that you too you can use the Edge Toolkit in the coming year to establish partnerships and thrive together!
